About
I like to break the rules. Even in college, I was never very good at making technically traditional prints. Rather, I used-- and still use--printmaking methods to create components for my collage work.
I break the rules in making cyanotypes. I like to mess with processes, and developed the wet cyanotype process to achieve a wide variety of colors and visual textures that are completely unlike the traditional blue and white cyanotype print. There is an element of surprise in making every print.
Born in Berkeley, California, I received a BFA in Printmaking from California College of the Arts (and Crafts). Currently I reside in Portland, Oregon, working as a Pilates instructor as my day job.
